Creating a Future: How AI is Propelling Space Exploration & Astrophysics

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has already transformed our lives here on Earth. AI is playing a key role in modeling and simulation, which allows scientists to go on virtual tours of black holes, galactic centers, and more. NASA's Universe Supercomputer, Pleiades, for instance, uses AI to simulate and understand the evolution of the cosmos.

It's not just NASA, private companies like SpaceX are deploying AI for their missions too. SpaceX’s Starship, touted as the vehicle that will carry humans to Mars, will utilize AI for autonomous navigation and landing especially in places where communication delays could hamper manual navigation.
